We know that winter and Christmas-time can be especially challenging when you've lost a loved one. The festive season can emphasise the absence of those who are no longer with us, and it can be a difficult time to cope with grief which is why we created our Light Up a Life campaign, so you can remember your loved one.
We run the campaign every winter, providing you the opportunity to remember and honour your loved ones through our outdoor remembrance service and our online tribute website.

Our online remembrance tributes
Celebrate the lives of your loved ones with an online tribute, in support of St David's Hospice Care.
Our online remembrance space is live each winter until early January. 100% of your donation goes to St David’s Hospice Care, allowing us to continue to provide outstanding care to people in need. Find out more about what we do.
Each tribute includes the option to add a photo, tribute message and will be active until early January.
How to create your tribute
- Head to the Create a Tribute page.
- Fill out your loved one’s details. You can upload a photo, write a message of remembrance and if you like, add who the tribute is from.
- Choose your donation: Each tribute requires a minimum donation of £10, all of which goes back into funding St David’s Hospice Care. If you’d like to donate more, click ‘other’ and type out your amount. We appreciate donations of all sizes.
- UK Taxpayer? Gift Aid your donation: Tick the box and fill out your details and we can claim 25p of tax for every £1 you donate.
- Share your tribute: Your tribute will be live until early January the following year. Share your tribute with friends & family so they too, can pay remembrance.
